The talk will present potential usages for a R package developed by Luc Wouters for multivariate exploration of microarray data. It will be shown that spectral map analysis identifies similar RNA samples. This allows the user to detect potential errors in the lab during the processing of RNA samples as well as potential problems during the biological experiment. Furthermore, weighted spectral map analysis has the power to identify genes contributing to the grouping of samples, thereby pointing towards potential genes of interest in an unsupervised fassion.
