Goal

 We would like to announce the launch of a new platform, the SNP-NL platform. The platform will be organized similar to the ArrayNL platform but with a focus on all issues related to genomic variation, in partical SNP's. Through the SNP-NL platform we hope to disseminate the technology by sharing our progress and experiences and by coordinating efforts including;

• construct an electronic mailing list of a national group of interested researchers

• organise regular workshops to meet and discuss SNP's 

• collect interesting information on all aspects of the SNP technology, focused around a list of equipment available and experiences in Nederland

Although the main focus will be technological for SNP discovery and SNP scoring (possibilities, weak and strong points, cost), related subjects will be covered too, including re-sequencing, DNA management (isolation, storage, robotics), study design, data analysis and BioInformatics.
